- I think the defining part of this post is that tarnsition moving from attempting to emulate those whom you feel have made it versus turning that telescope inward and really focusing on turning yourself into a brand. The people whom you’ve chosen to call out as inspiration possess characteristics that embody a strong work ethic and life philosophy that would make someone successful in any field, not just photography. It can be liberating having a solid understanding of your own self and brand and having that reflected in your photography, because at that point you’re not chasing clients, you’re being true to yourself and attracting the right client.
